ROBERT WALKER, CPA - Partner

Robert is a founding partner of K&W CPAs. With over 29 years of audit experience, Robert's audit expertise is primarily with not-for-profit organizations and governmental entities including charter schools, school districts, colleges and local governments. He has performed over 30 separate Single Audits covering a multitude of federal and state grant programs. Prior to the formation of K&W CPAs, Robert was an audit senior with the Florida Auditor General's Office Robert graduated from the University of Miami in 1983 with a bachelor's degree in Accounting. He is a licensed CPA in the State of Florida and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Florida Institute of CPAs. Robert is also the firm's quality control partner. He also specializes in preparing not-for-profit tax returns and audit planning.

DAVID M. KING, CPA - Partner

Prior to his passing in 2012, as the co-founder of K&W CPAs, David had over 26 years of audit experience in governmental auditing. He performed and directed numerous audits of school districts, colleges, universities and other local governmental agencies. David's experience and knowledge laid the ground work for the firm. David graduated from Florida State University in 1983 with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and he was a licensed CPA in the State of Florida and a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Florida Institute of CPAs..

DENIS JESSEN, CPA - Audit Manager

Denis joined K&W CPAs in 2009 after over 35 years in governmental auditing experience as an audit supervisor with the Florida Auditor General's Office. Throughout the majority of his career with the AG, Mr. Jessen served in an audit coordinator/supervisory capacity overseeing approximately 20 professional audit staff members. Mr. Jessen has utilized various computerized auditing techniques to gain audit efficiency, developed and implemented audit programs, conducted reviews and evaluations of accounting systems and internal controls, and coordinated, reviewed, and supervised audit teams in a myriad of work assignments. Denis graduated from the University of Central Florida in 1974 with a bachelor's degree in Accounting. He is a licensed CPA in the State of Florida and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs. Denis is also the primary reviewer for the firm and regularly serves as in-house speaker for our continuing education seminars and other outside organizations.

STEVEN GIARRATANO, CPA - Audit Senior

Steven joined the K&W CPAs Intern Program in 2008 working during that time on a myriad of projects related to auditing and various tax form preparations. Steven graduated from the University of South Florida in 2009 with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and subsequently obtained his CPA certification. He is a licensed CPA in the State of Florida and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Florida Institute of CPAs. Steven has gained extensive experience with all aspects of audit and accounting with not-for-profit organizations and charter schools. He is an integral part of the firm's preparation of the 990 Tax Forms for our clients and has performed numerous unique audits gaining valuable specialized audit experiences. Two areas of specialization include: (1) The FLDOE Red Book Financial Reporting and (2) Best Financial Management Practices for District School Boards. Additionally, Steven helps lead the firm with new technologies and audit techniques.

MICHELLE MARTINEZ - Auditor

Michelle joined the K&W CPAs Intern Program in 2009 working during that time on a myriad of projects related to auditing and various tax preparations. Michelle has worked as a full time staff auditor with K&W CPAs since her graduation from the University of Florida in 2010. Michelle has quickly gained extensive experience with all aspects of audit and accounting with not-for-profit organizations, charter schools, and other governmental organizations. She has worked on several unique audits to date and has excellent insight in dealing with the audit processes regarding the governmental audit industry. In addition to her audit experiences, Michelle works directly with charter schools on their monthly financial statement preparation, preparation of the 990 Tax Forms, and the financial reporting and best financial management practices with the various School Districts..

LOUIS GIUNTA - AUDITOR

Prior to joining the professional staff of K&W CPAs, Louis earned over 40 years in governmental auditing experience as an employee with the Florida Auditor General's Office (AG). Throughout the majority of his career with the AG, Louis served in a staff auditor capacity conducting audit field work in numerous Florida government audit entities of all sizes of District School Boards, Colleges, Universities, and other local governmental agencies. Louis has conducted reviews and evaluations of accounting systems and internal controls, and been a part of audit teams in a myriad of work assignments and has taken over 1,300 hours of continuing education in the area of governmental accounting and auditing. Louis is a proud graduate of the University of Tampa with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a lifelong resident of Tampa. He also serves as the firm's local historian.

MARTHA CAMPBELL, CPA - AUDITOR

Martha joins K&W, CPAs in 2013 as our newest firm member. She has over 20 years of experience as a CPA in public and private industry, with Price Waterhouse and Arthur Anderson, the Florida university system, Florida school districts and the Florida Auditor General's Office as an internal auditor, senior auditor and chief financial officer. Martha's primary responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of the audit process and communicating effectively with the clients she serves. Martha draws on her diverse experience in the audit process to design and implement audit programs and audit techniques to improve the audit effectiveness and efficiency for the firm. Martha received her Bachelor-s degree in Business Administration in 1983 and a Masters of Accounting with a tax specialization from University of Florida in 1987. Martha is a licensed CPA in the State of Florida and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Florida Institute of CPAs.
